1. Introduction and Scope of works:
The specifications and workmanship to be adopted for Anti Termite Treatment at Projects & their subsidiaries. This is prepared to adopt for all the works in general conditions and if any uncommon circumstances arise then suitable action will be communicated vide shop drawing.
2. Material delivery and storage:
The following materials will be deployed for the activity,
Chlorpyrifos 20 EC (1% concentration by weight) or Edosulfan 35 EC. Thoidan 35 E.C.; Chlorpyriphos 20 E.C. Durmet 20 E.C. may also be used.
3. Resources / Manpower & Tools:
The following tools and tackles will be required for this activity,
- Sprayers
- Sprinklers or hand operated pressure pump.
- Measuring glass & mixing drum.
4. Methodology for ATT:
RCC Foundations – Depth of 500mm from new soil level when ground is raised or lowered by filling or cutting after foundations have been cast. Soil in immediate contact of RCC foundations shall be treated; Dosage for chemical emulsion – 7.5lit/sq. meter.
- At Plinth Filling holes should be dug at the distance of 150mm c/c up to the depth of 500mm. Dig the holes of 12mm Dia with steel rod to facilitate saturation of the soil with the chemical emulsion at the rate of 5lit/sq. meter.
- The top surface of the basement floor shall be treated before PCC with chemical treatment @ 5.0 lit/sqmt.
- At the junctions of walls & Floors chemical emulsion at the rate of 7.5lit/sq. meter by making small channels
- At the External perimeter of building holes will be dug at the distance of 150mm c/c up to the depth of 300mm; the rod should be moved backward or forward parallel to the wall. Chemical emulsion at the rate of 7.5lit/sq. meter the soil should be tamped back into place after the operation
- At Expansion joints at ground floor level after soil filling at the rate of 2lit per linear meter
- At soil surrounded pipes, wastages and conduits soil surrounding the point of entry shall be loosened around such pipe for a distance of 150mm and to a depth of 75mm before treatment with the chemical emulsion at the rate of 5lit/sq. meter
- At Retaining walls soil above floor level shall be treated at the rate of 7.5lit/sq. meter vertical surface
5. Environmental requirement:
Minimum wastage and taking precaution of wind pressure during chemical spray.
